As an Upper Valley and Keene NH, photographer, I always love getting requests for maternity portraits. It’s so cool to get these magical images of parents-to-be. I think maternity portraits are my absolute favorites, to be honest. And people don’t typically think “winter” for portraits, but I love the way the light gently reflects from the snow to create a soft light on my subjects. I am a big fan of family photos sessions in the winter – so long as it is not TOO cold! Sometimes it is hard to find a good location, because of the snow and ice making for inaccessible locales. For this session, we went to The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm. I am grateful to them for giving us permission to shoot at their beautiful snowy property in Quechee, VT.
