As a portrait photographer here in the Upper Valley of VT and NH, I had an absolute ball photographing this young man’s senior portraits. We decided on an urban feel and hung out in downtown White River Junction, VT. An avid musician, we included his trombone in the photos. We were blessed with mild temperatures for the senior session. Here are the results!
As an Upper Valley and Keene NH, photographer, I always love getting requests for maternity portraits. It’s so cool to get these magical images of parents-to-be. I think maternity portraits are my absolute favorites, to be honest. And people don’t typically think “winter” for portraits, but I love the way the light gently reflects from the snow to create a soft light on my subjects. I am a big fan of family photos sessions in the winter – so long as it is not TOO cold! Sometimes it is hard to find a good location, because of the snow and ice making for inaccessible locales. For this session, we went to The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm. I am grateful to them for giving us permission to shoot at their beautiful snowy property in Quechee, VT. The combination of water, greenery, and warm sunlight offers a perfect canvas for capturing the magic of pregnancy. This is one of my favorite families here in the upper valley of NH and VT. I felt so fortunate to shoot at sweet, beautiful Dewey’s Landing in Quechee, VT before the summer rain storms damaged it. It was such a perfect, dreamy summer evening to capture these moments.
